|In August 2008 we received an academic visitor from France. He is conducting very interesting research work in China and Taiwan, and crossing boundaries between sociology and anthropology. A constructive idea that came up from our discussion is that the CCPN should set up a column to share research interests with each other. This is what we are networking for.
The solution for this is to look for shared public resources. I have therefore found the free service Blogger - part of Google service, and created two blogs. They are: Research Interests Blog and Relationship Research Blog, and gave them relatively easy domain names respectively: http://ccpn-rp.blogspot.com/ and http://ccpn-rr.blogspot.com/. These two blogs are just examples. How many blogs we create depends on how high the demand is.
People who have already had a gmail or googlemail account can simply login to the Blogger to look at or post posters, otherwise you need to register an account. An additional gmail or googlemail account can be very useful, especially when you need to send and receive big files, or when, during holidays the School's email system keeps on going down for maintenance, or you are away from home or the country.
Hope you enjoy this new service!
